Working Holiday to Ireland

The Irish Working Holidaymaker Visa is for a period of 1 year. It allows you entry into Ireland to work while on an extended holiday.

• You must be aged between 18 and 30 years old (inclusive)
• You are single, or married without children. Your spouse must also qualify for the working holiday visa
• You only take casual or temporary work
• You do not work for more than 3 months with a single employer
• You must have sufficient funds to support yourself for at least the initial part of the holiday or in the event of failing to secure employment - evidence may be asked for

At present applications made through 1st Contact Visas are only available for Australian passport holders. Other nationalities need to contact the Irish embassy directly to discuss their requirements.

The application can be made inside the UK provided you apply for the Irish visa at least 8 weeks before your current visa expires.
